DASH-MOUNTED A/C SYSTEMS
All components for the dash mounted air-conditioning kits mount securely with standard fixings; no welding or threading required. On pre-Td5 Defender chassis, three holes must be drilled in the bulkhead to fit the evaporator manifold, wiring harness, and condensate drain.
You can fit the kit at home, ready for refrigerant charging. Just make sure you’re confident with automotive mechanics and understand the basics of pipe fitting and vehicle electrics; fusing, ratings, and identifying battery +Ve, switched +Ve, and 0V points.
We’ve designed and built our under-dash assembly to match the original factory look.
We supply all components with pre-terminated connectors for plug-and-play installation. However, you’ll need to integrate with your vehicle’s existing harness, so be prepared to choose and carry out a suitable connection method.
The evaporator and fan assembly always fit within the passenger footwell. Once installed, the under-dash unit reduces footwell depth by around 300mm from the bulkhead.
All of our compressors are pre charged with refrigeration oil.
Our front air conditioning systems use R134a refrigerant.
CENTRE CONSOLE A/C SYSTEMS
Yes. Our centre console A/C has its own built-in controls, so you can run it on its own or pair it with a front system to double your cooling power.
The centre console relies on the front system to supply refrigerant, so the front must be active. However, the console features its own A/C switch, giving passengers control over ventilated or cooled air with three fan speed options.
Yes. The console includes discreet side pockets for small items and a multipurpose tray at the front. To maximise airflow and cooling within the available space, it does not include a hinged lid or internal storage box.
The refrigerant used in our rear air conditioning systems is R134a.
HIGH-PERFORMANCE CONDENSER
Yes. Our performance condenser drops straight in as a replacement for OEM Td5 and TDCi units. You can also fit it to pre-Td5 Defenders with extended grille surrounds and modified A/C connections.
We use modern heat exchanger technology in our performance condenser for improved efficiency and increased resistance to corrosion.
In tests on a TDCi Defender with the original viscous fan, our performance condenser cut system head pressure by 64 psi at 23°C ambient. This drop lowered evaporating temperature by 2.8°C—delivering stronger, more efficient cabin cooling.
Yes. With greater condensing capacity, our unit delivers more cooling duty than the OEM setup—even in higher ambient temps. For tougher climates like deserts or the tropics, our twin fan option boosts A/C performance and supports the vehicle’s cooling pack.
